A little background on Henley-on-Thames:

Henley-on-Thames is famous for being the location of the annual Regatta. This rowing event has taken place every year since 1839, and gained Royal Patronage in 1851 when Prince Albert took an interest. The course is exactly 1 mile 550 yards (2112 metres) long. The oldest building in the town is the Grade II* listed Old Bell pub, which dates back to 1325. Henley Bridge which was constructed in 1786 is Grade I listed.
